Parko wins the Quiky Pro 2009

Congratulations to Coolie boy Joel Parkinson on his big win this week at the Quiksilver Pro .

The finals were held  at the Super bank in the middle of Coolangatta beach.
Mick was Joels biggest hurdle getting to the final and their semi was an extraordinary tube riding duel that saw Joel come out on top.

Joel was on fire right through the comp scoring a perfect 10 in the semis and then another 10 in the final

Joel also gave the ‘Bring back Kirra ‘ campaign a huge boost when in his speech he stated.
that the banks at Kirra suck at the moment, and if we had the old banks with this swell it would have been pumping .
